Higher Living Collection: Eco, Sustainable + Hand-Made

DRAFT: Higher Living: Shop for eco, sustainable and hand-made items I am a designer, blogger and simple life enthusiast. My inspiration comes from nature. I love natural fibres, earthy hues, unique textures and recycled scraps. I am in my element when I can spend time in my studio creating earthy yet chic designs.I love to sew, paint, garden and cook. I am a creative which is probably why I do not thrive in the competitive grind of the 9-5 job. I quit my job in 2012 to downsize my life so that I could spend more time doing the things that 'matter'. I now make a humble living from my artist studio and work two days a week in a job outdoors. I opened this store for many reasons, the two main ones are:

1. To share my love for handmade items and beautiful textiles
2. To inspire people to shop with more consciousness - more eco. sustainable and overall kinder to our planet.

While I make most of the items myself - I also stock handmade items from woman who live in developing countries along with a few eco products that I have hand-selected myself.

Claire I believe in economic empowerment through arts, crafts and natural products. The products in my store are connected to the heart, the spirit and the planet. Simple Luxe Living specialises in health, beauty, fashion, decorative arts and home decor. All products are ECO friendly, cruelty free and promote holistic living. You can shop consciously, knowing that each purchase is promoting a better planet and a more pure Body-Soul.

The store is made up of brand new eco, hand-made and fairtrade products, coupled with treasured finds that I come across on my treks across the globe – most being recycled or artisian originals. I also share with you digital downloads that I design and use in my own life.

Every product in my store serves a purpose, by buying it you are contributing to a better planet and more ethical trade. Each product has a different story to tell, some of them are made by women’s co-ops in developing countries – so by buying the product you are supporting the well-being of these poorer communities.

Other products have proceeds going towards causes such our adaption program, human rights, wildlife conservation and so forth. You can read about the cause on each individual product.
